Kalindi could (and might at some point) choose to have sex, but She doesn’t want to give up Her connection to God and hang out in any illusory way, including sexually. Kalindi reaffirms that people do not have to give up sex in order to be with God, since sex is just fine. It is the lust that needs to be addressed, not repressed.
