You are from Home, the True Realm of existence. You come into the material world, however, it is only meant to be temporary. You will continue to have the material experience until your soul reaches the point when you are ready to break the cycle of birth and death and return Home. To break free of the cycle of birth and death you have to peel off all the layers of illusion. If you do not get serious and stay serious you will not do enough work to make it. It is not something you can do on your own; you need much help from someone that has made it. Breaking the cycle of birth and death is one of the highest services to mankind because it brings in so much light and opens the doors for so many others.
